WORKSHOP "INTENTIONAL ACTION"
A two day workshop led by Thomas Richards and Mario Biagini
Dates: 17th , 18th July; 10am-17pm
Place: Sala 35 da Escola de Minas
During two days of intensive work encounter in Ouro Preto (Brazil), participants will engage in practical work on songs of tradition-- the essential elements of research for 25 years at the Workcenter-- and on songs created using the poetic texts of Allen Ginsberg. The seminar will research an approach to song using action, intention and contact. Participants will explore the vibration of the voice, awareness of the space and reaction to its constituent elements, and improvisation within a structure.....read more
